We, Christine, Patrick & our daughter Agathe, will be pleased to wellcome you in our lovely 19th century manor in the heart of the village of Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne, in Franche Comté.
Our dog Ibis, a border-collie, is also very friendly and appreciate football game! We also have 2 cats and a donkey.
Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne is a small & picturesque village at the foothills of the « Monts du Jura », in a region well known for its numerous outdoor activities: hiking, riding, canoeing, mountain biking, speleology, climbing & trout fishing (no kill).
Nearby, you can tour the « Route des vins du Jura », a scenic drive along the Jura vineyards where you can see distinct regional varieties of grapes, including Savagnin, Pupillin, Trousseau and where the famous Vin Jaune & Vin de Paille are produced.
You also have many local cultural opportunities. Historical monuments include Salins-les-Bains, Arc-et-Senans – UNESCO world heritage, Ornans, native village & Gustave Courbet museum, castels, museums ...
Within 20 minutes walking distance, you will find the « musée de la Taillanderie » (edge-tool making) and the headwaters of the Lison.
Each of 3 guest rooms is large, comfortable with a separate full bathroom.
You can also stay for dinner (2 days advance booking please).
You will relax in our large park and enjoy looking at the landscape; a terrace with table & chairs is at your disposal. We also have a cosy lounge with a library & an access to the internet (the net is not always well working but does work in the dining room and on the terrace).
Our house is strictly non-smoking, even on the balconies or near the windows. However you may smoke outdoors, where ashtrays are available.
Animals are our friends but we are sorry not to accept them.
A private parkplace is at your disposal.
See you soon… we can welcome you in French, English or German.
